Ron Stokes is a native of Washington D.C. who grew up largely in the Bay Area of California and has called Richmond, Virginia home for the past ten years. A self-taught street artist, he merged his instinct for pattern and movement with abstract art to develop a unique style of visual storytelling through color and form.
Ron creates each piece from emotion, thought, and the inspiration of the moment. He speaks through color and imagery rather than words, bringing to life stories of culture, history, and the world around him. His work invites the viewer to find their own meaning within it, because the beauty of abstract art lies in what it says to each person who encounters it.
He has worked on large- and small-scale projects across many cities, giving back through partnerships with charities and foundations along the way. Ron sees his artistry as the bridge that connects art to the city.
